The user can access equipment connected to remote serial port using any telnet application including HyperTerminal and Tterm. Convert Serial into TCP/IP software allows multiple user access to serial port and is capable of restricting access to any serial port by password protecting connections. The operator only requires Internet, Intranet or TCP/IP based network connection and administrator rights on machine to fully control network serial devices.
